Shippensburg Police Department received notification from Cumberland County Children and Youth Services that a 13-year-old girl had told the organization that she was sexually assaulted by a friend of the family, a release by police stated.
Michael Patrick Jellison, 29, of Shippensburg, was charged following an investigation, according to the release and court documents.
He voluntarily turned himself into Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams' office for arraignment on Nov. 1, police stated in the release.
Jellison was charged with the following, according to his court docket:
- F1 Rape Forcible Compulsion
- F1 Statutory Sexual Assault: 11 Years Older
- F1 Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse With A Child
- F2 Sexual Assault
- F2 Aggravated Indecent Assault - Complainant Less Than 16
- M2 Indecent Assault Person Less 16 Years Age
He was released on $20,000 in bail, as stated on his court docket.
His preliminary hearing has been scheduled with Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams on Nov. 29 at 2:30 p.m., according to his court docket.
